Saba Zahedi
Saba Zahedi, a talented Iranian artist, seamlessly blends ancient wisdom with contemporary aesthetics. Her work is a reflection of her deep understanding of Iranian and Far Eastern art, combined with a keen eye for Western art.
Zahedi’s unique perspective is rooted in the forgotten theory of existence, a philosophy that encourages us to slow down and appreciate the simple beauty of life. Her art often explores themes of nature, femininity, and the human experience, inviting viewers to delve into a world of symbolism and meaning.
With her delicate brushstrokes and rich color palette, Zahedi creates captivating works that evoke a sense of tranquility and wonder. Her paintings and designs are a testament to her artistic talent and her commitment to preserving traditional artistic techniques while embracing contemporary aesthetics.
“Today, the sky weighted the hue and scent of blackberries within. As my clothes blossomed into an unknown garden, and my earrings carried the light of the sea.”
An Invitation to a Garden from Flowers Series - 50x70, crayon on paper, 2021
“In my eyes, the feminine energy often neglected and lost in the pace of modern life — is intertwined with mother earth, and nature itself. Perhaps that is why, when I see someone nurturing the earth, I see them tending to the very essence of Mother Earth’s feminine spirit.
In this collection, titled “An Invitation to the Garden”, I encourage my audience into a world crafted from my own fantasy, a world deeply familiar to us in the cultural heart of Iran and the East.
It is as delicate as Saadi’s verse:
“The turmoil of nightingales occurs at dawn; the one who is asleep remains unaware of the morning.”
شورش بلبلان سحر باشد خفته از صبح بی خبر باشد
Or like the gentleness of the shades of blackberry trees in a hot summer. Do not forget me, not the flowers.”

“Some of the music notes that reminds me the garden besides these drawings.”
